Fr. Joe Barron, PES

Father Joe Barron, P.E.S. has been at SIJ since 2023. Coming from a big family with 6 brothers and 1 sister, he began to excel in baseball at a young age and was called up be a starter on the JV high school baseball team as a 7^th grader, and a starter on the Varsity team as an 8^th grader. 

He entered the religious community, Pro Ecclesia Sancta, in 2012, earned his bachelor’s in philosophy from the University of St. Thomas in 2017 and his Master of Divinity from the St. Paul Seminary in 2021.

His previous pastoral experience is from Lima, Peru and the Twin Cities in MN, ranging from youth group, college ministry, high school chaplaincy and parish administration. 

In his free time Father likes to spend time with his PES brothers, play any and all sports, watch movies, and just have a good time!
